Description
The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for an Instructor (teaching assistant) position in the field of Psychology, with the rank open, depending on experience and qualifications. We encourage applicants with experience in the teaching of Psychology undergraduate courses.
The Instructor will support NYU Abu Dhabi's education mission by assisting in the instruction of the Psychology courses that are part of the Psychology undergraduate curriculum. In particular, the Instructor will work closely with Professors to play an active role in the preparation, development, delivery, and assessment of both recitation and lab sessions.
It is expected that the Instructor will assist in the program’s core courses: Introduction to Psychology, Biopsychology, Research Methods, and Statistics, depending on the needs of the Psychology undergraduate program. In addition, the Instructor will support lab-based advanced electives and the capstone seminar. Lab-based courses may include Labs in: Early Childhood Education, Multisensory Perception, Psychology Economic Inequality, Visual Neuroscience, Gender Images and Clinical Neuropsychology.
Instructors will support teaching through a variety of activities that may include in-class activities, group work, recitations, lab-based learning activities, office hours, and exam-prep sessions. Salaries are extremely competitive with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) in Psychology (3-5 years of experience in higher education recommended) or a Master’s degree in Psychology is required.
Expertise and/or interest in cognition and perception is a plus.
